What did you do in the garden today?

I discovered the butternut a few days ago under all the weeeds. Im guessing tje fancy colour is from lack of sunlight.

And the Banksia is still blooming. 28C/ 82F here today.šŸ˜

Worked outside all day.
Manure bin is finally totally finished.
I tore the tomato side of the garden apart to shift things around for some new plantings, but the girls invaded. I let them when I saw all the grubs they were finding.
Fixed a fence post.
Broke the mainline for the electric fence in the process.
Fixed that.
Hung more security cameras.
Full day in the dry sun and heat and dust.
Tomorrow, more garden work and the winter soil amendments.

I had no luck with the dyna the first time I used it. Not sure why. Plugged it in again 6-12 months later and it has worked well ever since. Also purchased a few zappers at 1/4 the cost of the dyna. All worked themselves out of a job for awhile. Thanks for the good tip a few years ago. Do you have a link for this one?
I think the reason why you thought it didn't work is because it was probably still clearing your neighbors' mosquitoes. It won't clear all the mosquitos overnight.

The ad on the Amufer zapper say they created a new uv light that attracts mosquitos and I believe they did. Plus, the uv light last a long time, longer than the Dyna trap. I haven't changed them since I bought it a year ago. I'll probably replace the uv light tomorrow, since I have a spare.

I have mine outside under a tarp tent above my 1,000-gallon tilapia tank and I leave the bottom off, so the zapped bugs fall into the water and doesn't accumulate in the catch compartment.

I haven't replaced my bait in a long time, because there are no mosquitoes in my yard anymore. This is the link for the cheap mosquito bait that worked for me:

Big Mahalos for the links and infošŸ¤™

The first time with the dyno I had it set up in the run and under a rain tarp. I used the bait and kept the trap in. No squeetos in the tray or not much but plenty in the yard buzzing and biting. I think desperation made me set it up a second time about a year later. Must of had a neighbor with standing water because the mosquitos were relentless. That time I put it in the coop and it just went to town. Had so many destroyed carcasses it was awesome. I also used fly strips and they captured 100s every night. It was intense so I kept it in the coop for months and it kept filling up with carcasses.

We have not had bad mosquitos for the last couple years. I have 6 fish bowls that id like to credit with being helpful. But, we just had a good rain so I think I will dust off the dyno and look into the links you sent before it gets thick again.

That’s how it is here to an extent. Not really the stealing part (drugs on the other hand…) but most people in my school have their cars bought for them and stuff like that. And I guess I am slightly jealous about that considering my family could easily afford to get me a car I am also grateful that I’m being forced to not become reliant on other people to get me what I want and I know that will lead to me taking better care of it and be more responsible.

well. drugs are the first step here then stealing to afford to buy drugs and more.
