What did you do in the garden today?

Picked some bell peppers and jalapenos this morning for a batch of salsa. Pulled up one area of my cucumbers. Put the hens in the garden for awhile. They just make me smile with all the clucking and chattering to each other.

Great looking salsa! Nice and red. So is it you that freezes your tomatoes before making salsa with them, or was it someone else here?

I put 5 gallon buckets over two habanero plants to save them if it frosts tonight. 37 degrees is predicted, and that's low enough to be wary.

Most gardens have been put to bed for the year. I bought a cool, new hand tool that makes quick work of clearing plant debris out.

I bought one of those from amazon, but it didn't work on what I bought it for. I bought it to trim the overgrown grass around a manhole cover and near my lawn edge, but my grass was too thick. I ended up buying a hand sheep wool and grass scissor that worked better for my case.
