What did you do in the garden today?

I finally got around to using my earth boxes that I bought last year. I think it's better than my DYI earth totes because it uses way less potting mix. I used a little more than two 5-gallon buckets to fill my original earth box. I placed the fertilizer that comes with the earth boxes down the middle. I am looking forward to eating some stem lettuce.

I think I will order two more earth boxes for regular lettuce. I got the grow lights already set up, so I might as well use them.

Got groceries yesterday. I do not panic buy but many were. I survived the blizzards of 77 and 78. Took 3 days each time to open roads. No prior stocking. I always have enough for 3 days. 77 no warning not even on the radio while I was stuck in my truck during the blizzard. Took 2 days to get home from work.

I always have enough food for 3+ months, lol.

Yep, those of us who actually plan ahead and maintain a full and expanded pantry can sit back and enjoy the optics of crowds of panic buyers clogging the grocery stores. Sort of like watching the weather driven version of the ‘Black Friday’ nonsense.
