What did you do in the garden today?

I grow mine on a cattle panel and if they get large use an onion bag to hold it.
Another great use for onion bags! Also, the net bag on the outside of the plastic wrapper on a turkey works well for that kind of thing too.

Oh no! My heart breaks for you... When will it end? 😔

I saw an article today about the concerns that screwworm is going to hit Texas hard. If it does, we are not far behind... Horrific. The methods they were using in the past (releasing sterile males) is apparently not working.
This is the one that was lame, he's just gone down hill for three solid weeks.

It's just sad. And I can't imagine your vet bills. Sorry to hear he is also really struggling.
The vet bill is only for a compassionate end.
I am the attending for everything else. There are no camelid vets within 6 hours of me. We all know what to do and what meds to use and how to use them. So worming, nail care, teeth, shots....all on us.
I've been giving them 3 shots a day since this party started back on the 2nd. It's the syringes, needles, and drugs they need that were the $$. But no, it has not been an inexpensive month.

Do I get in trouble if I say that pumpkin cradle looks like a dolls potty?
Have not been out in the garden yet today. Still recovering from a couple of extreme weather days. The temp is finally down to 24C (75F) at 8.37AM here.
Will be going over to mum's in a bit. Time to do a Budgie sort - how many of which type are there? and in what gender mixs? which are surplus to requirements and available for sale? she has orders to fill.
The advantage/disadvantage of being a well know breeder of quality birds. :)
No. I didn't even see it looking like a doll potty. I laughed when I read your post.

We have a Maytag that is between 15-20 years old. It broke a month ago, so we looked at new ones..decided to just have parts ordered and have it fixed.. even if it only lasts couple more years I feel like it was worth it.. It has no extras and I love it. Nothing you buy today can come close to lasting that many years, get repaired and still go strong!

I bought my new maytag washer in 2021, I've yet to get a load of laundry that I didn't have to rewash something. Even accidentally left a receipt in the pocket when I washed, and it came out bone dry and readable! I'm saving my money to buy an old fashioned speed queen washer, no computer anything on it, no water saving, just mechanical. I want something that works! And while I'm on my rant, let me say my new Maytag stove takes a half hour to preheat! What kind of garbage are they making these days?
Speed queens are the bees knees.

Right to repair!!!
