What did you do in the garden today?

That's what I always plant.

Good idea!

Some of mine were large, some on the smaller side. My friend gave me 6 large ones. These have all been tasty.

The 6 I bought at the farmer's market were all large ones. Bland, blah.

I am definitely growing more this year. I had two hills last year. I think there were 5-6 vines, total. I had to pick them all at the end of August, because a deer got in and ate the vines. No leaves left, just nubs. One of the ones I picked wasn't ripe. I left it until December, and even though the skin was pale-ish, it tasted fine.
I'm glad I have a fenced in backyard where deer, etc. can't get in. Enough issues with feral cats coming in to 💩 in my raised beds & squirrels bringing walnuts from the neighbor's tree & trading them for my red potatoes.

Time to get a BBQ gun and start target practice.

It got up to 60 today so I had the first real opportunity to take a good look at the baby bunnies. There's 5....3 greyish brown and 2 white. They are fat as little butterballs and SO CUTE! Not all of them have their eyes open yet but it's close... 😍

I'm amazed they survived below zero temperatures (at night) for over a week
Good to see you post about your rabbits. I am trying to learn rabbit color genetics to produce tricolor. So much different than chicken color genetics. I get such confusing answers. Everyone talks Allee letters but I feel they do not understand them very well.My calculations do not mach theirs. Litter due 2/15. I will then see the outcome.

Running a bit late this year with garden planning and yearly seed orders, but this morning I ordered garlic bulbs for fall planting. If anyone else is looking, Johnny's Seed still has some in stock. I'm surprised! They usually sell out by mid-January, so I'm tickled that I wasn't too late this year.
