What did you do with your first egg?

We got 2 eggs on our first day. We all took turns gazing at them. We had to put them in a clear plastic holder so we could see right through. I had a baking emergency and we had forgotten to get any storebought eggs, so I ended up using our first 4 for chocolate chip cookies for my son's hockey team bake sale. The next 6, I cooked up for breakfast, sunnyside up to display those beautiful deep yellow yolks.

Good idea making them into ornaments! The pullet eggs are perfect for that.

My first 3 which arrived this week from my one and only old enough hen are in the fridge awaiting DH's return so he can gaze on them as well and then decide how he wants them (sunny side up, I suspect). I don't think he'll be interested in saving them, he never did like knick knacks, or Christmas ornaments.
