Your posts always crack me up.Hi gang,
I went out this morning to open up the chooks estate in my PJ's and noticed that the 60lb block that I place one of the waterers on was kinda janky so I flipped it and then flipped, readjusted and leveled all of my water pads.... then I figured it was a good time to move the feed stump since my PJ's were obviously headed for the wash and then figured I might as well finish up all of the rest of my chores in comfort...so that was the start of my day lol.

Had a good day yesterday too. I was selling my super cute and sweet cockerel to a gal with 50 hens. As I was loading him up I just could not escape the guilt of sending this cute young thing off to 50 bossy grown hens. Seemed pretty brutal, so I loaded up a pal for him and in hopes of her being understanding to his plight. She and her hubby were some of the nicest people you would ever want to meet and were thrilled at the prospect of having 2 boys... I wish I would have loaded 3...
6 days or less for my next hatch.Pray for girls

And today was the last day of the 10 day 2nd dose.
After hashing it out a bit more in my head, the cost of lumber and who is benefiting from the cost hike- I decided a mobile coop for Koke'e was going to be my start. Can ya see it?!Should be interesting...

The kittens are 100% now, making friends in the eve and then playing like bandits at night. It is fun.

K. There is my check in. Have a good day all.
Congrats on the chicks! Those are some beautiful photos. My goodness, I have some lookers hatching! 4 so far, 1 zip and at least 5 pips! Their hatches seem to be getting better looking with time. I know Spiders first was kind of disappointing but I have been happy with the last two.
Got the mister out. Dusty is going broody AGAINso she is in jail. Littles have been doing fine out and about but they are not good at eating and hydrating cuz of the bigs so I locked them back up around 2-3 and they seem pretty happy about it. Switched the 2 L. Brahma's to the lower, freshly cleaned brooder and commenced to cleaning and readying the top brooder. So, by this time tomorrow I will have met the latest chicks. I am excited!!!
DH went for a ride today (while I was working hard for the chooks lol) and sent me a few photos that are worth a share.

Happy June 1st. Stay well!!!
Those are some seriously cute chicks...Hi kids, happy aloha Friday!!!
Last day of deworming the flock!
Uninstalled a big fan and installed a medium fan in the main coop.
Got boards scraped, feeders filled, waterers scrubbed.
Emptied a bag of composted horse poop out for the gang.
Fed them meal worms that had grain mites so... their bonus.
Handled chicks and cleaned brooder... now it is time to collect some eggs!!! Oh, that's right... I wormed my flock... not so fun today
Well, I did fire up my incubator and put 20 of last weeks eggs in.
Other than that, it has been home maintenance.
Kittens have an appointment for the 22nd!

Brooder heat plate and a little practice perchHi, What are they standing on, it looks very interesting
I made them a heat cave, using some wire, a sunbeam heating pad, a tea towel covered in glad wrap to protect, and used duct tape to put it all together. It’s shaped like that cause they are getting older and bigger, but when they were newly hatched...1 week ago it was flatter...no pasty butt and these chicks have been very quiet and content, no peeping, and they go to sleep when it gets dark.Brooder heat plate and a little practice perch
