What did you do with your flock today?

I did help her out. She wasn’t shipped. BUT she was in that fall. And my only Cochin to live through that. She started off strong and then took a break, and I knew she was absorbing her yolk cause of her mouth movement. But as the day went on I seen her try to move and she just could not. I took her out and used warm water to help loosen the shell she was stuck too. She seems to be doing pretty good. I did start with the shell too and there was nothing but clear membrane. The little one just got ahead of itself and got stuck cause it dried.

I know she was so devastated. She went into where the brooder was while talking to me and said something to the babies and they all started chirping at her and running to her voice….she started crying again. 😭😭😭 I haven’t had to deal with a weasel but I do know how it is to see your babies destroyed. And they are nothing but sweet little ducks that just want to play in water and have so much fun and don’t hurt anything. Her and I really appreciate the prayers!
Ducks are the happiest little things...they look like they live their lives in pure joy. Well, most the time. Chubby gets scary to strange ducks whenever Peekys nesting...but most of the time!

I think it’s so adorable the way the boys behave for the girls! The boys like stand guard for them while they are nesting. They even let the girls eat/drink first. Boys in the human world could learn a thing or 2 from them 🤣. I know at least a few that really could learn from them. Luckily my husband isn’t included 😂

Do you fancy lending a couple of boys to me? They could teach Stan a thing or two🤣
Today Stanley jumped on my shoulder, climbed over my head to get to Penelope (who was on my other shoulder) and tried to mate with her, much to mine and Penelope's disgust! The boy has absolutely NO manners...

That it is!!! I have one more little one breaking through the shell. I don’t know what the other 2 are doing but I do hope they hatch soon. But 3 out of the 5 isn’t terrible considering what they went through. Thank you btw. It was so hard to decide to do it or not. I didn’t want to interfere if something was wrong but I’m glad I did. She did all she could do but did give it a really good go.

This is the best picture I can get of the 2 right now. I didn’t take one right after because I was so worried about her. But the awaiting egg is in the picture as well.
After all this, you'll be a pro like @ChicksnMore at this. Yay, chicks! Go pips!

Not orally. I have to put it on and in her vent prolapsed tissue. After either an Epsom salt soak, or a vent shower just to wash off any yuckies. Urates constantly leak out, so her bum gets rather messy.
So glad I asked! I get so confused as what can go where from humans to chickens lol!
Aren't yall glad all my human babies are grown now!!! Lol?
I'm guessing the Monistat they get for what is it sour crop? Goes in orally?

Bambi still broody but crop felt much better this morning! Now Lizzy us broody too! I thought I broke her last week but guess she didn't get it out of her system just yet.

:gig Omg I would be freaking out! 🤣 But since it’s not me I have to laugh. I’m sorry.

I sure hope so! I have 2 more eggs to hatch. I don’t see anything. Don’t hear anything. I did take them out to candle since I didn’t hear any tapping or chirps from them. The air cell is really good size but I can’t see very well in the eggs and there for sure is not any internal pips. It will be day 23 in about 3 hours. My other chick hatched EARLY this morning. About 5:30 or so. So I do have 2 Cemani’s and my only Cochin. I’m not sure what to do yet though about the other ones….

Yeah I hate how Joey has turned out...he's on a rampage right now even with Bluey trying to set him straight!
I finally caught him this morning and went to hold him and he bit my belly! I just wanted to knock the snot out of him! He got both my legs again and my belly this time. He's in a hard molt right now so not sure if that's makin him worse or what.
I'm not even gonna be able to wear shorts this summer cuz of him - my legs looks so pathetic and nasty from bruises, cuts, sores and scars!
I know I'm the only one that can do anything bout it...I just keeping thinkin he'll get better.
Here's one of his new pencil feathers that came out in Bluey had a tussel.
