Does she still have exposed tissue? If so, you might want to ditch the shavings until it's healed. If they're sticking to the exposed tissue, they can contaminate it and allow other infection to set in. Just line her crate with paper instead. Of course, if it's not sticking, no need to remove it!
I meant to say yesterday, in relation to the vent gleet, just keep an eye out for it in the rest of your girls, if you have cockerels. It's not infectious per se but, like human thrush, can be contracted via sexual activity.
