What did you do with your flock today?

The wedding we went to was beautiful 😍. We got back Tuesday and I spent Wednesday caring for the yard and beasties. Found three dead birds and crazy filthy water but otherwise everything was ok. I don't think anyone's water was changed or cleaned the entire time I was gone. Not sure what to think on that...too tired right now so I'll figure out what to say to the neighbor later. Luckily I have some time as he doesn't want paid until I test COVID free, and yesterday's test was still strongly positive.
Not sure what I'll be doing for pet care in the future.
Today I let the little dwarfs out to play. The geese are getting big so I'm leaving chicken protection up to them today. They're awfully good guard geese!
Ohhh this makes me so sad for you! Bad pet sitters are so frustrating 😫😫 I’m so sorry you lost birdies. Plus got COVID! What a bummer to come home to…glad you enjoyed the wedding at least. ❤️

This little gal is Yeppeuda. Her name means pretty in Korean. She's a yokohama/aloha mix and just the sweetest little girl in the world. She's one of the birds I should re-home but I don't think that's going to happen...I just enjoy her too much 😂 One of these days I'll have to get a picture where her splotchy feathers show...dont tell her, but her personality is prettier than her feathers!View attachment 3644700
She’s beautiful 😍

It was an odd trip with airport delays, a missed flight and covid, but very wonderful too. Got to meet my sisters grandbabies and see my mom. 🥰. Ya, I was very surprised by the state of the water and to find dead birds. So far everyone seems to have weathered it well but those three at least. But feeling at a loss. Still haven't talked to the neighbor but think he's almost decided I'm probably safe enough now...since no one else in my families gotten sick. I'm used to losing a plant or two when I travel but animals and foul water is too much gone wrong. My own fault really for making excuses for him for the doves and chicken I lost last time I hired him. Feeling very foolish for hiring him twice. ☹️

I'm sad for you too. I hate when animals pay the price because of human incompetence. Humans suck.

Well, just finished my trapping weekend, almost. I have a stack of traps to wash and 11 kitties to care for... outside of my 5. It is almost chicken math! 😳
One of the cats I trapped was wounded, so she needs extra care... 1 has a bad eye infection, so caring for her and her sibling to keep her company and less stress. One kitten I trapped last night has a bad eye infection, I will be fostering him. I trapped the third from the gas station, they are all being treated for eye infections. And KCCP gal asked if I could take 2 of hers, she is full. I said yes to all 😂🤣🤣😂🤣

I can't wait for them all to warm up to me ♡

Oh my gosh, you are such a farmer! Bravo, love it!! Elliot is such a beautiful grey kitty ♡ I'm powerless over all of those stripes 🤩 perfect.
Elliot and Grace are the accidental product of a Maine Coon father and an F3 snow leopard Bengal mother. I think it's been a fortuitous cross. They have one brother, Finn, and if he's turned out to have half as lovely a temperament of my two, his owner is a very lucky lady. As am I!

It's time to take Shuster out for a ride down to the house of hens. He likes to go in the coop with me while I fill their feeder. I don't remember sharing Shusters mug shot but just in case here is the rascal. He is a handsome Cus. Even some of the girls think so.

He certainly is! Such a fiery shade.
