What did you do with your flock today?

I gave ours a dish pan full of scrambled eggs. That was spread out over several coops that got out for free ranging today. I try to keep a dish of boiled eggs on hand for a trio of my 3 Musketeers and a special white rock roo. All 4 of those know their names and come when called as good or better than any dog I've ever had.

I'm on the warpath. A wild dog killed a RIR rooster today. He's lucky I only had a pellet gun with me. I see no difference in a coyote killing chickens or a wild dog. They look the same to me.

I would have used the pellet gun looking for his bum hole.

I'd like one but the cost of one would by a lot of feed, fence, and stock. I looked for a 3 shot pump shotgun. A #2 goose load would take care of him coming back to visit me if I got a shot at his rear side.

I have a number for a county agency that might take care of him/her. I'm calling tomorrow. They are not real close to me but in the same county.

Started yesterlatemorn with off an on showers. Now it is full-blown torrential rains. The kind @kurby was talking about

Tally was scared so I brought him inside, he has been attacking me for the last hour, Forest attacking him. Such a keeper. The rest of the kitties were fine.

Right now the eversohandsome Beetle is crowing in his Kekaha coop ♡ I brought him and 7 girls home last night and placed them on the main coops empty roost ♡. The mountain drive was intense both up and down from fog, heavy rains, darkness and mountain turns. Def not a sunny day on a motorcycle, and I was humbled. My eyes and head still hurt.

It felt so good to bring some of my babies home. I look forward to the chicken antics today. I will bring another small load of chickens home in a few more days. Today is sewing like a bandit as yesterday I hung out with my son.

Yikes! That is a pretty intense radar over you! Don't go out and try to chase naughty chickens, it doesn't end well Sounds like a great day to stay indoors, catch up on some sewing, have a grilled cheese and some soup, and maybe a nap! I'm so glad Tally is fitting in so well!
