Did someone spike their water?racked up the yard so they can play in the sand evidently face first lol![]()
I'll have to hunt for ALL the hidey holes. There's more on the outer wood of the run, but spray didn't make any mites show. Most of the girls roost out there.Your spray sounds good and safe...are you pleased with how it works?
I wonder if wood putty or filler would fill in all those hidey hole dashes?
Always baby love. But of course... lolView attachment 3743163View attachment 3743164View attachment 3743165
A little to slow to keep up with the family. Heard him chirping away and mom nowhere to be found. Thought I'd grab him b4 the cats did. Maybe I can reunite him back with mom tomorrow or, I'll probably find another Beebe and just raise them. Uggggh! Just wanted to admire them from afar. Darn.
Great big Yay!First light this morning I checked for momma hen and found her in my garden, behind the black storage box and snuggling with her beeebies. Reintro was seamless thank goodness!!! I then threw food and changed out water, then proceeded to find them some bugs. Momma really looked like she appreciated my efforts. This eve, she was in son's yard, so I tossed some good food over the fence.
17 eggs today! All sold along with 32 other eggs. New customer is buying up all I have.
She must get her size from Spider or Beetle. She looks quite larger than a normal feral. Bet those Beebes will be beautiful. She certainly is.Went out back to do the evenings chores and got a little surprise. This is one of three blonde ferals pullets (Spider's daughters) and 14 - some of them Beetles - babies. Tossed them scratch and put a water container on ground level for them. They were thirsty ♡
I have so many feral chicks out and about. Many don't make it. All have access to our food and water and are treated with dignity.
I wonder if her sisters will be showing up soon with their clutches...
Yes, I am very pleased and surprised.Your spray sounds good and safe...are you pleased with how it works?

Aww, too cute! I have a part-time house chicken - my little cockerel, Ferdy. He spends most evenings perched on my shoulder and just lets himself (and usually the rest of the flock!) in during the day, when he feels like it. He's even mastered the stairs to the second floor so you never know where you'll find him. Good job he's house trained! My baby Peppermint spent most of her day with me on my computer while I worked. She is mostly a indoor chicken.
Oh my! Think my heart just explodedThanks! Me tooThe other newbies are like giants in comparison to these teeny babies! They’re about 8 weeks now, but it’s been so nasty outside I’ve left them inside for the time being…not for long though!
Jett is my favorite so far. She’s just really sweet and chill

It's a permanent battle here, it seems. We used to get a winter break but not anymore, it appears. Going to give your spray a try and alternate it with my other treatments.I saw that my spray killed them. I do need to spray again, as I saw some missed areas and didn't have time. Inevitably, there will always be some that got missed. The fight continues.
