What did you do with your flock today?

I brought my big Legs boy inside tonight for some conversation and treat time. He sat in my lap like a gentleman and had no interest in getting down. He got half a slice of soft bread and a little time to look at hens on my monitor. He was not impressed and really was not impressed when I showed him a picture of himself sitting in my lap. He really didn't like the other rooster sitting with me. He is a real crazy rooster that just turned 8 months old and is very heavy and close to 2 foot tall. I need to measure him and weight him tomorrow if he will cooperate. I know he will if I take him off the roost after dark.
Stan gets upset with the strange roo sitting on me too! And if he sees that little upstart in reflective fridge door, he attacks it until he gives himself a headache 🤣. He's such a silly little man.
2ft? WOW!

I don't think I have shared this photo here. I lost this thread somehow and have just got it back up. This boy's dad should have been at least 30" tall. While to some he looks mean he is just a big baby still. He turned 8 months old about 4 days ago.

Impressive bird! I think almost all of my full grown birds could walk right between his legs and not even brush his belly.. 😂

Wow! What a great photo. I don't think he's mean-looking. He is incredibly handsome! 😍 😍😍

Aww, too cute! I have a part-time house chicken - my little cockerel, Ferdy. He spends most evenings perched on my shoulder and just lets himself (and usually the rest of the flock!) in during the day, when he feels like it. He's even mastered the stairs to the second floor so you never know where you'll find him. Good job he's house trained! View attachment 3744658
How in the world did you house train a rooster???

Oh spoiled little chickens!!!! OK @kurby, how many chickens do you have now? I won't tell your husband 😂🤣😂🤣 You have some really good looking birds for sure!
Hehehehe I’ve lost track to be honest 😆😆😆 It’s okay because I have sold several and rehomed a few roosters hehehe. He feels just enough guilt that I can’t have my acreage and hate the summers here…so he’s pretty forgiving of my chicken obsession 😆

I’m also doing the chicken Expo again in May, so I’m test hatching so I can plan accordingly 😍 These babies will sell fast I think! The faces alone are just so adorable 😍 Gonna be some work if I can’t sell them all though 😆😆😆
