What did you do with your flock today?

Came back to share a kitten picture. Such little dolls... they love to stay close to my face. Gaze into my eyes, smell my breath and pat my cheeks with their paws. And then they pass out...😂😻

That looks like a lovely dreamy way to spend an evening ❤️❤️❤️ those kittens are just angels 😇

Good morning gang!

@ChicksnMore , just absolutely beautiful ♡ they have gotten so big, and have so much love and trust. Thanks for sharing ♡♡♡
Any progress reports on drywall?!! 🤞🤞

I largely ignored my flock yesterday. They seemed to survive despite my shotty care 😆 a few did hop the gate and jump on deck to steal cat food right... in front of me, a few times. Must have been starving. Jellybeans has become a big offender of deck hopping catfood thieving, just like her mom. Funny how that works. Hard to get mad when they are so cute, but I warn them to back hop off the deck in a low toned voice, and I put scary broom out too. Neither really work anymore.

I've been busy with bags and making good progress despite my little helpers /neckwarmers and gate hoppers. Forest is on me like a booger. Slows me down but adds joy and comic relief to my task. I have enough finished bags for another stand 👍 but need to somehow clean, cut and sew about 10 more by tomorrow. It will be a stretch.

This last weekend our SF family joined the club and became urban chicken farmers. Yippee!

Then they all promptly came down with covid. Poor things ♡ Hoping for good health for all and a quick recovery!!

O poor babies! They certainly look adorable though! I'm sure chick time will help the sick time pass faster ♥️. Isn't it wonderful that hearing someone caught covid doesn't cause a nervous stomach flutter anymore? Hope they have a speedy recovery 🙏.

Drywall is finished! 🥳 They sent four trucks and eight workers out yesterday! Wowza. Really nice workers. They went to town and got the last of the repairs done. They didn't paint though! I'm not going to push it. Hubby and I decided we'll just do that ourselves. Probably faster 😂. This all started before Christmas and I still can't put my house back together. But it's close now. I'm used to drywall being done in stages with drying time in between. They did almost everything in one day. So it wasn't done the way I believe it should be...but like the lack of painting, I'm not going to argue about it. It's done. I'll give it a week to cure and then I'll play with some paint and finally put my furniture and belongings back in place. The amount of drywall they did yesterday was something else...we had so many holes just everywhere. Below is one of the ceiling holes. So much better!

Wow! Those guys are good! Great texture match 👍👍👍 no seams. Bravo! Now-a-daze they have all kine quick drying products. I'm sure they did it right so they don't have to come back. 😉 Waiting on paint would like a great idea. Welp. Congratulations!!!!!!! Almost normal 🤪

Just had to share some cute pictures from tonight. New beebies and an adorable smoosh face puppy makes my heart happy and complete! 😍

Managed to sell a trio of bantam Ameraucanas and a pair of my self blue dAnvers to someone in Mexico today as well! So I will be driving them to Fresno along with all the show birds on Friday! Plus I’m rehoming Tux the mottled Cochin I saved with mouth to beak back in November and one of my broody Cochins to a Watermaal breeder who wants help incubating eggs. Tux is wonderful and we love him, but he’s not finding a place to land where he’s not getting beat up by another rooster. So I found a kid who’s very involved in 4-H and wants to use him to breed for showing and feel like that will make him much happier than staying here with no ladies to love and care for. Some of my roos are fine with a couple ladies and lower status…he wants a flock. He deserves one! :)

So today consisted of mainly treats and a quick check and egg collection, plus some baths for the muddy ladies I’m selling! That’s about all I did today for the birdies. I’m hoping we get another day of sun tomorrow so things can dry up a bit…it’s a horrid and smelly mess out there!
