I cannot go outside. Broke my right foot 3 days ago, and this will take 6 weeks to heal. No driving, either. My garden and girls are calling me.....

Well, I did think about it, but we live in 2 story house, on the upper floor, and my yard, garden is not very wheelchair friendly. I manage to hobble around some, but have to be careful not to overdo. Thanks for the suggestion, though. Can't you borrow a wheelchair for a month? Or crutches? So you can move around a little more.
Crutches would be hard to juggle with trying to carry stuff, and waterhoses, and stairs....good thought, though. Can't you borrow a wheelchair for a month? Or crutches? So you can move around a little more.
So glad to hear you're now up and about but please take care and don't overdo it!
Congratulations on the new pullets! What are Zombies? I've not heard of them . I assume they're a new hybrid?
DH finally caved and agreed to 2 new pullets in June - a bantam Cochin and a frizzle bantam Cochin/silkie. I was never going to get a frizzle or a silkie but I fell in love with her and her silly feathers. She looks like an old fashioned feather duster. Or Beaker from the Muppet Show.
She squatted for me yesterday so I'm looking forward to the odd egg over winter too.
