I actually did get diamonds. A pair of diamond studs that my wonderful hubby knows I have always wanted.

I didnt get anything. Bought my daughter some stuff and my wife a present but I was forgotten I guess...

A really nice dinner out at our favorite restaurant. It's a major splurge for us, but we love going there for "special" nights. We did NYE there too. The chef came to our table and greeted us. And when we left, I got a rose.

Three nights at a bed and breakfast. What a great wa to unwind. Need the break as winter drags on.

A day off work from my back being out.

Got chicken soup brought to me, chores done for me, kisses from my kids & grandbabies, and a date rain check...wasn't so bad after all.

He REALLY tried this year. Ge got me a starbucks gift card and their VIA instant caramel coffee drinks as the nearest one is 25 miles away (where he works). So he did very good. BUT it gets better...

2 weeks ago DS8 had viral brinchitis and was very sick and missed a full week of school. SO JUST when I got him better DD12 started feeling sick late saturday. By sunday she had fever/sweats/headache/ nausia.

So I tell him sunday nite I am taking her to DOC first thing mon a.m. He says fine. HE calls doc for appt at 8 a.m. as I am a crossing guard and can't call till 8:30. So he texts me she has appt at 10.

I take her to doc and she has.... FLU of course. WHich he says he thought from the getgo. So I had money for DOc but tamiflu WITH insurance was 140.00!! Now I get paid direct deposit after 6 p.m. but he happens to have a check he was going to cashe from our flexible spending acct.

So I tell him it is flu and about the tamiflu etc. He says okay I will come home for lunch after I cash this check so you can get her tamiflu. THats 22 miles one way.So he cashes check, picks up script , AND brings us chinese for lunch and then goes back to work. He comes home at 8:30 and then has the starbucks stuff. I was really suprised as I thought the whole chinese food etc was my gift.

Then fills the tamiflu preventative for DS8 as he is in the high risk group now.

So yea big bonus points for him yesterday. That is a good man/father/husband.

He could have even cashed the check an then given me the money to handle it but no he took care of all of it and then went back to work.

Yea he is a good Guy. What did I give him? Home made tollhouse cookies his all time favorite.
