Ended Wattle I Do Without You?—2025 Valentine's Day Contest Series

Entry #1
This is the last remaining bird from my original flock of 4. Her name is Hawk, she is 10 years old now, and is still going strong! She’s a good girl and so far has still laid every spring. She looks great for her age!

When will the winner be announced?:)
Hopefully within the next couple of days, but it can be as long as a couple of weeks. A lot of contests just ended, so the team will be busy. Everything gets added to a Spreadsheet, entered into the Random Number Generator, then finalized by the team. This may take a few days to a couple of weeks depending on how much time the team has. :)

Wow, what an amazing story. Thank you so much for taking the time to write that all out. He was definitely an amazing rooster and surely missed. :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs

Thank you for taking the time to read it! It’s always a pleasure to write about my birds, and I can go on for hours  .

He will truly be missed, not only by me, but by his favourite hens. As mentioned, he’d formed a really close relationship with one in particular.

Im glad to be able to see parts of him in his offspring; most are also very mature for their ages

This is my girl Whispa, she passed on Valentine’s Day. She was a real sweetheart but after her rooster died she was never the same and 2months later she passed peacefully in her sleep to go and join her husband on Valentine’s Day ❤️

Second Draw, #49 - @I Miss u Loaf
This is Herobrine, my sweet blue Americana. She HATED all people, and did not care for human interaction. One night, when I was in a bad place, I went to the coop to just cry. I felt something jump onto my shoulder and it was her. After that, her and I were the best friends. Anyone could hold her, but she preferred me. during the summer of 2024, she got really sick. We couldn't fix her, so on June 16, 2024, we put her to rest. I was distraught, and I don't think I'll ever heal. This is the last picture I have of her.

I'll meet you on the other side of the stars, Brine.
Love you forever.

Third Draw, #1 - @Perris
I assume males are allowed too (the blurb just says she)? At any rate, Fforest is my flock's most popular roo, and he has a splendid set of wattles to boot
