What did you train your chicks to do?

Mine come when I whistle (It was easy, just whistle every time you feed them and it gets ingrained in their little heads).

I started training on of my chicks to fly up and sit on my shoulder, I get a kick out of it. Chicken circus, thats a good one. Maybe my chicks could guess star sometime.

I train some to come when name is called and they will do it even with strangers and strange locations.


A few as chicks and juveniles are trained to fly 20+ feet when called.

My husband is the major treat giver. As soon as the chickens see him coming out of house, they come running. He always carries down the treats, leftovers, fridge goodies in a #10 can. He yells "Chic, chic, chic!" and some of them even try to fly to get to him faster.
They only come when I call "Chickens!" AND tap the can. My little chicks haven't figured it out yet. They still run from me when I come into the run, panic when I come in the shelter to refill their food container, but they do come to me when I sit and talk to them in my fold up chair.
