In fact, it seems quite cautious to avoid making such bold statements. The most direct comparison that it makes is in delayed gratification (self control) where the chicken held out longer for a bigger reward than the toddler did. And that's about it. Yeah although we don't have animal translators (like in cartoons) we still can measure the iq of animals which is honestly so cool!

There is no standardized IQ test for animals. And even if there was, the format would be different, and the grading/results would mean different things. The results wouldn't be directly comparable between species, or between humans and other animals. So saying "a chicken has an iq of 70" means nothing in the context of human IQ and the human test's scale. Scientists use separate tests for animals, adapted to the specific species, to get a general idea of their intelligence, not to collect points on a scale that they can then juxtapose against points on the human test's scale.
