What do ducks do during the day???

I just entered the duck world with two one month old pekin ducks. I love them already! I am wondering if they are suppose to do anything during the day. It seems that their routine is eat, drink, eat, drink, sleep, repeat. My entire backyard is fenced in and they don't leave their adopted "area". I just thought that they would walk around and forge a little. Maybe follow us around a bit. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks!

They will, they just have to adapt.at least mine did. I let my play in their bigger pool and give them treats like frozen peas,lettuce, and corn on the cob in the pool. Mine love it. It took mine a few days and alittle help with treats now they love to explore and forge around.

We just put our ducks in our yard. Yesterday was there first time in the new spot that's permanent. Before that we had a dog kennel they would go in during the day and then at night I put them in a big closet. Yesterday we finished the fencing around the pond and the kennel and we put tin around the kennel for protection at night. They either stayed in the pond or in a corner until we locked them in the kenn for the night. Today they were all over the fenced area. In and out of the pond and wandering around pecking at the ground. They seemed a lot more comfortable today. So with time they will check out surrounding areas!
