What do I do about others eggs in my broody's nest?

Quote:
You and me both girl! Five outbuildings on this farm and not one is a barn! There is a hay barn at the other end of the farm, but it's a wide open barn and always full of round bales. DH says once I have the proper shelter, not just a loafing shed or a lean-to, I can have a horse.

I keep telling myself that once I get a barn I can get sheep and alpacas.
Fortunately for me there is no one here telling me not to.

As an added note: I was just glancing through my Storey's Guide to Raising Chickens and read:

"In case of an accident, you can keep droppings solid - and therefore easier to clean out and less likely to stick to eggs - by feeding scratch grain instead of lay ration, which also helps the hen maintain her weight."
