OK...so ever since she was a chick, we've had one chicken that has had chronic pasty butt. We'd clean her up and that would help for a little while but eventually she'd end up clotting up with poop again. She's the only bird I've named...Stumpy since she has no tail even as an adult. She's laying well but I'm afraid her vent will become compromised due to the poop. It's now cold here and I can't wash her because she'd freeze. What is going on with her? Any thoughts? I don't want to cull her if we can find a solution but it doesn't seem right for her to constantly be plagued with these nasty clots of poop.
