what do i do now?!?!

Hawks do not like dogs.... Or bottle rockets while in the air. Once your birds become to much fuss to obtain they will leave. Yes bottle rockets may be illegal in some places to harass hawks with, but much less illegal than killing one as they are a protected animal and that is all species.

We have a Queensland/Blue Healer mix that is always watching for them and we now seldom have issues though they are still around and more so in winter when they migrate to Arizona from all corners of our country and Canada....

Lots of cover as well as other suggestions made above also helpful.

I read somewhere that Fish and Wildlife in some states will capture and relocate nuisance hawks. May be worth looking into?

We've been lucky in that the crows around here will sound the alarm when a hawk is around. Funny to see the air-battles as the crows run the hawk off. Now that I think of it, I haven't noticed hawks anywhere but highway lightpoles(where they belong!) any time in weeks. Still, I recommend something to cover the run: poultry netting works; we've got it near-impenetrable, so I think it keeps out raccoons, too (finally)---and, of course vigilance is key.
