My hen hatched 4 roosters and I'm not sure what to do with them. I cant find anybody who wants them, we dont plan on eating them.

Can I keep all my roosters happy together in a coop together? Is it possible? I dont want them to kill each other.

If they are in a separate coop from the hens, a lot of folks "bachelor pad" their roosters, but if they are with hens, that will drive competition and fighting.

If they are sequestered you should be ok, but if not, you need to find another plan.

Mine had 6 roosters and I had a similar problem. Even at 8 weeks they were all getting aggressive. I ended up taking them to the local livestock auction.

So blocked his view of the hens and now he is totally freaking out! He is making all sorts of sounds I have never heard. Is this normal and will he get used to it?

I thought you were separating 4 roosters, not just one? One bird will be upset at being sequestered away. Chickens are flock animals and are happiest when in the company of other chickens. If you have separated all four of them together and they are freaking out, it's because chickens don't like change. Give them a few days and they'll get over it.

If you only have the one rooster left, why are you separating him from the hens by himself? Is he aggressive toward you or other people? The hens?

I had separated our daddy rooster a few months ago because he was aggressive every time I went to feed them and he was aggressive to the hens. Now that the hens babies are mostly grown we have 4 more rooster adolescents that I want to put in there with him.

We have no need for the extra roosters, I have a friend that may take a few. They are my 10 year old daughters chickens and I dont think she would be happy to know that they are being sent off to be food...but I would like the info on the zoo donation anyway. I could just tell her they are going to the zoo and leave it at that.....
