OK remember I'm fairly knew........
My hen laid an egg everyday
until.........
last week
now she sits in her nest - staring at me - growling at me
Its not like she's even sitting on an egg trying to hatch

there is no egg
On days that I'm home (which is almost always) I open the chicken door and the chicks roam all over the property.
Eating bugs, weeds, treats I hide in the grass....
But Momma Hen (Martha) just sits with a big grump on.
I'm guessing she wants to be a mom again?
I don't want anymore chicks right now
I want eggs
Can someone help me....is this what Broody means?
How do I get her back to normal - happy - laying an egg everyday?
