I’ve had a lovebird for about six years, he’s almost 11 though so I didn’t have him as a baby. They’re a bit flighty and aggressive for their size but with lots of love and treats I’m sure she’ll come to enjoy your company. Some lovebirds don’t like fingers so maybe try approaching with your wrist or the side of your hand. They can also be territorial of their cage so don’t take too much offense to that, just try and lure her out with treats until she gets used to you. Don’t be discouraged if it takes awhile! Parrots are capricious and what works for one may not work for the other so try new things until something sticks. My lovebird, Jude, enjoys riding the ceiling fan (when it’s turned off of course, just spinning it with my hand) and taking baths in my cupped hands in the sink. His favorite treats are sunflower seeds but other parrots will enjoy millet, peppers, scrambled eggs, yogurt treats, all kinds of stuff! The easiest way to their heart is through their stomach so try different things!
