What do I do?

My chicken is gonna b 2 years in april. Shes alone but lives inside my house. Im gonna get her friends to live with her in the coop. We have a lot of stray animals so i dont trust having her alone out all night, since chickens usually stay in groups. Just wanted to know if its ok to give her layer feed since the grower feed isnt filling her up

She’s fine to have layer. But grower should be fine. I think if it’s not ‘filling her up’ there may be an underlying issue? Do you give her food free choice?
