What do I do

I have a sick BR hen. I suspected coccidia but when I went down there this morning her stool wasnt normal but it wasnt runny like coccidia poo. Beneath a small layer of white crust it is green and looks like chewed up grass. But anyway here is what I have done I suspected coccidia so I have put four reds in the cage so they wouldnt be able to have sulmet, thenI put the sick rock in abox in the garage because they were trying to kill her. No chicken here is on medication yet so I want to know what you think the sickness is? If you have a though as to what it is what will treat the sickness? Here is how the hen was acting she was lethargic, fairly weak, and not a very bright comb. Any ideas? Thanks a million!

I understand your description of the Rock, but then you mention 4 others/Sulmet/and then say nothing is on meds? I'm confused. saladin

I would give her some vitamins/electrolites in her drinking water, and if she doesn't want to drink, maybe you could put some in an eye dropper and give it to her.....

It's really hard to tell......you never know if she may have eaten something toxic.......the first antibiotics I use is duramayacin....then I go from there. If she's not eating or drinking, I don't blame you for using something stronger. The thing is, chickens will develop a tolerance to meds, so it's good to start with a weaker antibiotic.

Does her vent area look ok, or does she have a dirty bottom? Could she need worming?
