What do I do?

In my run, the grass is dead and it's covered with droppings so I was wondering what I could do.

You could use grass clippings, leaves or we are considering adding some sand to the muddy patches in our play yards.

wood chips, leaves and grass clippings as mentioned, un dyed mulch, pine straw, pine shavings........just avoid anything cedar or pressure treated

they'll scratch around and keep it turned pretty well, and if it doesn't look like they are, throw a handful of scratch in once a week and then they will for sure!
