what do i feed peacocks

i was recently given a pair of peacocks. not sure what to feed them, they told me kale and dog food but they don't seem to like the dog food. they like the kale and I've given them shredded carrot and apple, they like it some what. i bought some food for game-birds it doesn't look like they are eating it . any suggestions. i read they need high protein food, right now they're locked up in a large cage so i need to make sure i'm giving them their proper diet.

Gamebird food with 20-25% protein content is ideal. Veggies and fruits also make good supplements.
