I have 4 black australorps that are about 17 weeks old. None of them crow or lay eggs. 2 seem to have different tail shapes to me.. but I honestly have no clue. Can someone help me figure out what I have. Thanks

All pullets!

Ph my goodness really? All pulleys? That would be awesome. We have one bantam porcelain duccle rooster that we are keeping and didnt want anymore roosters. We also have a bantam duccle pullet. Whe. Do you think we will start seeing mating between the rooster and all of these pullets? They are all 17 weeks old. Also can the bantam duccle rooster mate with the australorps..even at 17 weeks they are three times his size.

Usually roosters will start mating when hen's start laying eggs, but I have a 5 month old cockerel who was practicing mating behavior the other day.
Your Cockerel will try to mate with the Australorps, but its not certain that you will get any fertile eggs since he's so small. He'll do his best though. :D

I saw my 2 month old cockerel breed his foster mom today

I'm not really wanting him to breed them in would rather have both duccles mate. But I know we cant have him in there with just her. Mating her all day long... so i need to keep more hens In there with them correct? Will that give the duccle hen a break and not hurt her because he has other options?

Yes, thats a good option. Why don't you want your cockerel breeding with the Astrolorps? As long as you don't incubate the eggs or want pure Astrolorps it wont matter. Plus, it doubt he will be able to fertilize their eggs anyway.
I think its a good idea to put them all together it will still get your Duccl'e hen good fertility, and give her a break from mating. :)

When do australorps start laying eggs? What about bantam porcelain duccles? My rooster duccle was crowing at 5 weeks. He was still in brooder box and was crowing. They are the 2 white ones in picture.
