What do I mix with sand in my chicken yard?

I was reading some info on using sand for my chicken yard and there was something I was supposed to mix in with it but I lost the info. Anyone know what it is? It was abbreviated using initials. There is an odor like fermenting broccoli coming from the pen area, I think its because I am missing that ingredient?

Yes, I think thats what I saw but couldnt remember. Whats in it? Im assuming nothing harmful to the chickens? Do you just follow directions on the bag as to how much and how often? Thankyou for replying!

It's zeolite, all natural and completely safe for livestock. Just make sure you buy the granular, not powder. I can get it in 20 pound bags. I usually use half mixed with sand for a 4x6 coop. You can use more or less depending on your needs, though a little goes a long way.
