i have 12 show chickens and I do not know what to feed them.
Right now I am feeding them regular scratch and a game bird/show bird mix with some sunflower seeds

Well, I know marigold will really bring out the color in there feathers, so you could try that.

what is marigold?
which is better during the chickens molt: Feather fixer or cat treats

Marigold is a type of flower, And my birds havent gone through a molt yet, so I'm not sure.

ok thanks

do you know if I need to give my chickens any supplements

Always give your chickens extra calcium in the form of oyster shell. It helps them lay there eggs

There are as many ways to feed show chickens as there are feed brands.
Most exhibitors I know including myself are feeding a good game bird feed that contains animal proteins and fats in a "mix".

What are you feeding (breed and variety)?
White birds shouldn't be fed a lot of extra corn or even marigold because it will give the white feathers a off color.

I am feeding a little bit of fancy scratch and some show bird mix I added a bit of sunflower seed.
The types of birds I'm feeding is:
gold laced wyandotte (3)
silver laced wyandotte (4)
Easter eggers (2)
black Austrolorps (2)
partridge rock (1)

This thread died but I'm looking for advice too! I'm feeding blue and splash silkies, fawn OEGB and a variety of bantam Cochins.
