what do people give there pigs for worms?

I give our pigs DE daily with there feed. Also pumpkins work. RIght now is a great time of year for them. I just throw a pumpkin in for them ever now and then. There is liquid medicine you can get at local farm stores too.

Honestly I can't remember off hand how the pumpkin helps, I have it in my books--if I could just pull my lazy butt away from the computer long enough to look it up is another story..

I just know I have read it many times and in different articles.
Pumpkin will also work for pigs if they are constipated. Our pigs seem to poop just FINE!! so don't know how true that one is either. But then again, once a week I empty 2 large cans of pumpkin pie filling into the pigs slop bucket.

I actually give our the pumpkins for a treat and any added benefits are a plus...

Thanks, I can, ohhhhhh, so understand the "Lazy Butt" syndrome.
I, too, suffer from the same disease. Thanks though for the info.

Have you ever tried it on dogs? If so, any side affects or problems?
I was told that it was cheaper and just as good for dogs as the higher priced ones you can buy through your veterinarian. Any info on using it on dogs or cats? Any info would be appreciated.

It will kill a cat but you can use it on dogs. Be careful with that stuff .

Ivermectin, paste. Keep in mind, its used for humans as well and if your doctor gives you human meds and your name starts with Joe... The media will blast you for taking animals meds... even if its the actual human version.

Look I am going to say it once... and then let you and everyone go back to doing their own thing.

DE only works while dry (can't eat it)
DE only works on hard shell bugs (dehydrates them) Means worms... are immune, especially if they are INSIDE a wet body...
