What do these vocalizations mean?

The girls, mostly my Bielefelder (Nettie) and Cream Legbar (Fancy), make these weird creaking calls that sound like something out of Jurassic Park or a horror movie. In the linked video, it is evening right before they go to roost and this seems to be when they make these noises the most. I have also heard them do it when I check on them in the morning, when I get home from work, and when they were out foraging while I was gardening. There isn't much of a pattern that I can tell. I'm sure someone on this forum can clue me in to what this sound means. Thanks!

Edit to add that they are just over 18 weeks

Hey! You got my cream Legbar! They told me there was a bad hatch, and gave me two extra Cuckoo Marans for the one Legbar! How funny..!

That’s funny! Fancy is hilarious, I would definitely recommend getting one, she makes me laugh all the time. Ironically I thought she was a substitute, McMurray’s Legbar’s autosexing traits are not great… She was yellow with very faint chipmunk markings. Not a big deal for a backyard chicken keeper like me who doesn’t breed, but I wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for breeding stock.
As for inserting the video. I uploaded to YouTube and then copied and pasted the link into the little camera reel icon on this forum.

I’m super happy with the ones they picked for me..especially my Whiting True Blues..they are gorgeous and sweet..
