What do u get when crossing BR w/ PC

My friend has A Barred Plymouth Rock hen and a Polish Crested Roo!! I was telling her MONDAY I am going to be start my 2 dozen RIR eggs in incubator!! she said she had fertile eggs from these 2 and was curious to see what they would look like..

AND being the chick-a-holic that i am said "I'll come pick them up!! I am also curious !! "

I am wondering if anyone else has hatched this cross and if they have pics!!

Hi Amber! What color is the Polish?
The BR hen and Polish rooster should make sex-linked chicks.
The male chicks will hatch with a 'head-spot' and be barred, the females will be solid.
The chicks will all probably have small crests and (if the Polish is bearded) beards.
I bet they'll be adorable!

The dad is a white crested black polish and no I do not believe he has a beard.
Great info thank you I am excited 21 days is toooooo long to wait LOL.

Hi! Those for sure will hatch black --- boys will have a headspot and be barred and the girls no headspot and be solid black. It will be interesting to see how the white crest is inherited.
