Please watch this video that I found on Youtube and let me know what you think about it. I enjoyed the first half but not so sure about the "army".

ETA: to make the question clearer. Is it okay to hatch 100's of supermarket eggs for YouTube likes? I have no issue with trying to hatch supermarket eggs. I do have an issue with irresponsible breeding/production.

Let's not advertise these liars.
Yes you can try to hatch supermarket eggs if you know they might be fertile. Quail eggs for example.
I've seen easter egger eggs sold at supermarkets around Easter. Cartons of six eggs all of different colors. Those eggs have a chance to be fertile and I would certainly try the experiment - but not before cheching them for bullseye -

Why would hatching store eggs be bad or irresponsible? It's just a click bait, sensationalist title.
If you watch the video you will see what I mean. The guy buys 12 eggs and 2 are fertile. I have no problem with that.

The second part of the video he asks people to like his video and he'll hatch an egg for every like. He buys a further 300+ eggs and incubated them. 139 hatch. That is what I have a problem with. Hatching eggs for likes. Watch the video and see if you change your opinion.

He speaks to some sort of expert who tells him UK supermarkets only buy eggs from producers who only keep hens but occassionally a producer can't fulfill the order so they add eggs from breeding pens. So, there is a slight chance that one will be fertile. He got 2 fertile eggs from the original 12 eggs that he bought. He did candle them regularly. I'm sceptical that he managed to find 300 quail eggs in his local supermarket. Most UK supermarket's don't stock quail eggs. They are seen as a speciality in the UK.

Watch the video to see. He basically tries to hatch 100's of eggs for likes.
I'm on the boat back up from Aberdeen and the wifi is rubbish.

If he isn't able to house that many birds or find good homes for them (and with those numbers I'd say he should have new homes lined up before even setting the eggs) then that's irresponsible. I wouldn't say it had anything to do with them being supermarket eggs though.

Safe journey. Perhaps I should have written "Is it irresponsible to hatch 100's of supermarket eggs for YouTube likes". I wonder if I cam edit the title?

You should be able to edit the title of the thread but I think xenforo (the forum software) doesn't let you edit polls once someone's voted. If that is the case, a mod might be able to do it for you if you reported your first post.
