There is something else besides more birds and eggs that us poultry owners collect a lot of, and that is egg cartons for me!

I have over 180 cartons, 125 cartons that hold 1 doz. eggs, 53 that hold 18 eggs, and 6 flats that hold 30 eggs!

If all those cartons were full I would have 2,634 eggs!

How many egg cartons have you collected?

What do you seem to collect the most since you own poultry?

There used to be a day when everyone would give me chicken things for the house (I didn't even have a house at the time!) so my room at home was just filled with poultry items. Now it's mostly been owl things I get, but my poor room mates now have to deal with bird decorations everywhere!

I am glad I am not the only one with a plethora of egg cartons.
My friends are environmentally friendly folk who give me all of their egg cartons... but not environmentally thinking enough to actually purchase cardboard cartons or my eggs, 'ew, they come from the butt of a chicken'...and the store bought ones are made in in the back of the store?)
I have so many egg cartons now I just throw them away for the people who give them to me. I say,' Thank you, but I really do have more than I need'. And then they say, 'But They won't take the foam for recycling.'

I open the garbage can and slip them in.

...and then I GIVE them a dozen eggs. Yes, I am my own worse enemy. I have them trained.
