What do you do with your used pine shavings/poo when you clean out your coop?

I dunno, no one wants poopy straw.

In the garden it goes as mulch. If you do not want to do that what about digging a hole where you want to improve your garden soil or as top layer in the potplants. If you are worried about smell- cover with potting soil.

Mine go straight into the garden as well.

My back yard has a lot of trees, and normally undergrowth. This spring before it started coming in good, I started using the weekly clean out to build paths where I wanted to keep the undergrowth down. The poo eventually rinse out, and yes in a compost heap, the pine shavings would eventually break down. BUT this way, it takes longer, and sure does a good job doing the job I want it to do. I just replenish area that need it as I go. Its like, repurposed. LOL.
