What do you do with roosters?

They all crow at different ages, I have some here now that are 16 weeks and not crowing at all, I also have one little 8 week old guy that is. So you just butcher when they get to the right size OR when they start crowing.

I am planning on hatching some eggs this spring when I get a broody the deal with DH is that all extra roosters go to freezer camp. I can't wait to try home grown chicken my mom has agreed to come over and help teach us how to pluck and gut the chickens.

We list purebred roos on craigslist, and appreciate when others do as well. Sometimes you just need one good roo from outside your flock to bring some fresh genes to the pool.
