oh wow I didnt realize when you say ANYTHING you mean ANYTHING!!!
so if i make Mash tatters and My kids don't finish it. I can scrap it out onto a paper plate with everything else they didnt finish n just give it to them!!

well I'd not give them my Sweet tatter casserole lol. I put marshmellows and carmel drizzle in that among all the yummy spices.

Dose anyone give their chickens pizza crust? or pizza left overs?

is there anything TOXIC TO CHICKENS???

I know There is things I can't give our dog. that I would never have thought he can't have ( like grapes). want to be sure with the chickens

There's also a huge difference between what is BAD for them and what is just not as good as another thing. I'd absolutely toss in scrap pizza crust even though it might not be especially healthful. And when I made shredded beef the other day, I split the pile of spicy fat between the cat, dog, and chickens so none of them got too much and they all horked it down. But, I didn't put in some cucumber peels because I peeled the thing in the first place because the peel was tough and waxed.

There are also a few questionable things on some no-no lists. Citrus, for example. I fed the chickens an overripe orange yesterday and they went bonkers for it. They're running around just fine today so I'm pretty sure it's going to be OK. But there are some folks who are adamant that citrus is not good for chickens.

Chicken feed
Sunflower seeds, with shell
HB eggs
Dry oats
Watermelon
Strawberries
Grapes
Carrots
Bread(homemade wheat)
Bugs I catch outside

Mainly sunflower seeds, eggs, and oats for treats.

I stopped at a roadside stand and got peaches today. I feel lucky I have fingers left.
Who'd of thought chickens liked peaches that much??

I have heard that people will give their chickens the left over chicken bones, but I'm kind of fearfull that my chickens will get choked on the smaller bones. My chickens are real pigs with feathers! I'm afraid they won't notice the small bones and choke to death. Anyone do this?

or even those Vets who Never realized "a chicken can eat that"?

Any 'vet' who has been around chickens for six weeks knows that it it fits in the beak it is food and they will eat it. They even eat each others poop. There are very few things my chickens won't eat.

Just saw where someone posted "cat food" - we are talking dry cat food for chickens. Might have to grind some of this up for them. My chickens are not really fond of pellets....they want it all crushed and they seem to be eating more and laying more eggs since I started grinding it down for them. I guess I'm spoiling them, but oh well.
