I'm about 80% organic. Organic feed, scratch and kitchen scraps because I eat mostly organic produce. Unfortunately I haven't found organic sunflower seeds that don't cost an arm and a leg, so I buy 40# bags at tractor supply for $15.@leslielbk , I've got a question for you. Are your chickens fed organic exclusively, or only as part of their diet? How about the sunflower seeds, scratch, and fly larva?

About bsfl. They are a composter, better than red worms. They'll eat absolutely anything, including meat. Whatever's left on your dinner plate goes to them. It'll be gone within a day. They're voracious eaters, so if you run out of scraps you still have to feed them if you don't want them to die. Unfortunately that happens with me so I keep a bag of cat food that I get at the Dollar tree on hand, and anything the chickens don't eat including their leftover feed, I scrape up and feed to the larvae. If you don't want to go that route, you can buy them online and keep them alive in a big bucket or one of those giant plastic storage containers. I can't recommend them enough. There is a lot of literature online about them.
