Nope, no waterfowl feed. The waterfowl rescue turned me on to it. it was the best way they found to economically feed 200 birds complete nutrition. Their "poop quality" is even better since I got them off layer crumble. Less weird color, less stink, and less of it. Seems like they absorb more of the nutrients completely.
Purina Flock Raiser here, plus kitchen scraps and peas, and oyster shell grit. Dog food sounds interesting, I've given the flock dry cat food as an emergency hold-over, but they hardly touched it.
Not much to forage here especially when the ground is rock hard and not an insect ,frog etc in site. so I feed Purina Flock Raiser/ 7 way scratch grains, mealworms, peas, lettuce, cabbage, beets/tops, w/w bread.
