What do you feed your muscovy?

We are raising muscovy for meat, and are wondering about feeding non-comercial foods. The do forage to a degree, but putting duck pellets out for them seems to make them a bit lazy with foraging. I would like to get away from the pellets completely if possible, but need to make sure they're getting what they need.

I'm wondering what other people feed their muscovies. Are there any of you who do not feed commercial food (pellets, etc.)?

I use commercial Non GMO @chickens really. Mine are not for meat so they are spoiled.

They forage pretty much 90% of the time and they get a mix of layer pellets with rice and oats (only because I sometimes get bags for free).

My parents who keep them in Costa Rica on their farm don't feed them anything except scraps from cooking and they free range otherwise. They started with 6 and now have more than 40... So I don't think it's absolutely necessary if your terrain is extremely varied for them.
