What do you get? Silkie/Frizzle question

50% with frizzle feathers ( sizzles ) and 50% with normal feathers; I think - maybe some sizzle experts will post.....

Hi!
The black hen is silkie-feathered and frizzled?

Crossing back to a Silkie will give you all silkie-feathered chicks.
Half will be frizzled and silkie feathered, half will be smooth and silkie feathered.
Black x splash should give all blue chicks.
Good luck!

All will be silkie feathered if both birds have silkie feathers.

If only one does, then either half will have silkie and half not silkie or all will have not silkie. It depends on whether the non-silkie feathered parent has a copy of the silkie gene or not.

Oh my...I think I have confused myself. So, maybe it will help if I post a pic of the hen and see if that helps. lol. Sorry folks. The whole silkie feather thing got me

She is older now, but this is all I have for a pic right now. Does it help?
And she may be more a gray than a black huh?

That's a gray bird. Gray does not fall in the BBS - Andalusian blue group.

I don't know/remember the genetics for gray - that one is going to have to go to the color gurus. You'd likely get a mixed color pen. I sold the only gray produced here.
