What do you get when a Cochin rooster is bed to a Rhode Island Red hen?

What do you get when you breed a black Cochin rooster to a Rhode Island red hen I was hatching some eggs and she must not have had all the semon out of her system because what I have sure aren't pure breed rhode islands!

Are they generally good chicks? I will be attempting the same. As I have 4 Rhode Island Reds and 1 black feather footed cochin. Are they good egg layers or more for poultry? Any advice?

The resulting pullets should be better layers than the Cochins, but not quite as good as the Rhode Island Reds.

How much better than cochins? My Cochins lay 6-7x a week.
