THis looks beautifully rustic!!!!
Hey we all have plants that die-- my tomatos got over whelmed by the weeds in one area and are all of 4-6 inches high. Same as when planted weeks ago. lol That is, the ones I can find in 2 feet high weeds.

Thanks, I cropped this because in front of it on the ground is 2 melon plants with the grass higher than the plants. But we won't cut the grass in hopes we might get a melon. lol
I thought about the hay bales. Thanks for suggesting them I am worried about the fire ants also we have them very bad. I may just try to get some more of these built for next year.Could you put the perforated landscape fabric on the bottom to help keep the soil from washing out?
An other option for the gardener who can't bend over to tend the typical garden might be hay or straw bale gardens. But, I'm not sure how attractive they would be to the fire ants. If you do do the hay bale garden, be sure to place it near a hose. They are thirsty buggers, even when wrapped with poly.
I don't know if sulfur works on them or not, never tired it.DOes sulfur work on the fire ants??
Aint cropping a great feature??
