In the Brooder
tomorrow will mark day 14 of incubating, and i'm happy to announce that out of the 8 eggs, 5 of them have developed so far!! 3, however, seem to be infertile.
upon asking my dad the other day, he said we will just toss the infertile eggs out into the woods. now i know there aren't any chicks in the eggs- its just like any regular egg you'd eat. tossing them out is no big deal. however, hearing that didn't really sit well with me, and i know it's definitely because i've gotten unusually attached to all of the eggs- including the ones that hadn't developed.
obviously i'm not keeping them around, but i kinda wanna bury them somewhere- maybe it's odd, maybe it's not. but it feels wrong to toss them out just like that after all those days of turning and admiring them. it got me curious- what do you guys do with your eggs that turn out infertile??
