What do you like better: feathers, fur, or scales?

What do you like better: feathers, fur or scales? Why? Have fun!

I have never had any animals with scales that I could pet, so while fish are pretty, they're not exactly cuddly.
There is something very enjoyable about stroking a soft furry animal. There's nothing softer in the world than my Rex rabbit, Angeline.

And I love cuddling up with one of my furry cats, stroking them and listening to them purr.

Here we have 25 feathered creatures (laying hens), 18 scaled creatures (fresh water aquarium) and 5 furry creatures (3 housecats and 2 alpacas).

Thus I need "all of the above" as an option

I like feathers best because…well…I mean chickens for starters, but also because they have so many functions and uses. On birds they act as a rain jacket, down coat, and on most birds an…airplane…I guess. For humans we use them in down coats, pillows, blankets, clothing, etc plus they can be so pretty and so soft and really cute

I don't think I can choose between feathers and fur, myself. Feathers would be the easy choice because I love birds the most of all animal categories, but I also love my cats, and my favorite feathers (at least on chickens) are silkied feathers and thus a rather lot like fur instead of actual feathers.

All I can say for sure is it's not scales for me. I do like reptiles and fish, but have never been an owner of either, so they simply cannot contend in my mind.

There’s nothing like cuddling a furry cat/dog/bunny/etc but what about the beauty of shimmering scales, and I mean feathers are the reason for flight!
