I need to talk to her and have her talk to my husband, I would love to be able to "farm" full time. But all of mine end up being pets and I don't think I could be very productive if you know what I mean.

it's pretty simple.. she started raising broilers back in the late 60's.. didn't make very much at first.. barely enough to pay the bills.. BUT eventually she bought the first broiler house from the production company.. then she added a second broiler house.. it was a domino effect from there.. for each broiler house she paid off she had more income to afford the next one.. finally she bought more land further down the road and added more poultry houses..
the main thing is she stuck with it.. it was a lot of years of hard work.. but she made it pay off.. and now she can afford anything she wants.. all from just raising chickens.
